Q: Will Xactly Express handle my compensation plans?
A: Companies create all kinds of incentive programs and often they can become very complex. Xactly Express is very flexible and able to support a wide range of plans and certainly can be used to motivate all kinds of behaviors. That said, there are a couple of ways to find out if your plans will fit. First we recommend a conversation with one of our team members who are well versed in the many plan structures Xactly Express supports. Secondly, you can enter into a free trial and learn for yourself. There is no obligation to purchase.
Q. Can Xactly help with sales compensation design?
A. Our product contains some guidance on best practices but you can also contact our support team. They can answer simple questions at no charge or be available on an hourly consulting basis to give you more tailored advice and recommendations.
Q. I can't install the package from AppExchange, what do I do?
A. There are many different implementations of Salesforce CRM and sometimes your unique implementation will cause the package to fail during installation. Q. How can I justify the cost of the subscription?
A. In addition to all the benefits you get by motivating your team with great incentives and frequent feedback on their performance, there are many cost savings to consider. Commission calculation with spreadsheets is time consuming and error prone. Automating the process can reduce a 1-5 day process to minutes or hours as well as dramatically improve accuracy. A general rule of thumb is that 5-8% of your incentive payments are incorrect. For a company spending one million dollars ($1M), this equates to fifty to eighty thousand dollars ($50-$80k) per year if unnoticed. The combination of improved sales performance, reduced administrative costs and increased accuracy generally makes the subscription look like a bargain.
Q. Our company is using the Salesforce Professional Edition, will Xactly Express work for us?
A. You will need to upgrade to the Enterprise or Unlimited Edition. There are many benefits to the Enterprise Edition that Xactly Express needs to deliver such robust functionality including workflow approval, strong application integration and extensive customization capabilities-a key to user adoption.
Q: My plans are confidential. Will Xactly Express be a secure environment for me?
A: Since Xactly Express is built on the Force.com platform, your plans will be as secure as your pipeline and customer information. Our staff will not have direct access to any of your plans or data without your explicit approval. Following are some of the security protocols at the application, network and facility levels:
