Four years ago, it was a struggle for Carestream Health, a global leader in medical imaging.
In a recent webinar, the company’s worldwide compensation manager Katie Guest said the company had used a multitude of spreadsheets based in different countries and managed by different groups.
“It was really a fragmented situation,” Guest said.
But then the Carestream Health began instituting some changes. Leaders decided to bring on Salesforce as its CRM and signed on with Big Machines. At that time, Guest said, Carestream Health also brought in Xactly and created its first global compensation plan.
“We knew that we wanted to calculate the commission in one tool. We wanted to have visibility and accuracy,” Guest said. “We wanted an on-demand tool that would give us the flexibility that we needed at the time.”
That means sales people around the world could be motivated toward the same goals. That’s big stuff.
