It seems a bit of an understatement to say Google created some significant changes in the mobile world recently with its acquisition of Motorola. Clearly, the company made a big statement: mobile technology is the direction of the marketplace.
Whatever platform our businesses are on, keeping up with the mobile trend is critical to competitive viability. The strategic investments that we make today in technologies that facilitate mobility will impact the arc of our growth and profits for years to come. This is especially true for the sales-centric enterprise. Sales reps need new tools that let them work from the road as easily as they can work in the office, if not easier.
