Returning the Rubber Duck Industry to America!
I decided to address our foreign competition concerns head on- by becoming the only company in our industry making products in the USA. The first rubber ducks were invented in the 1800’s in the center of New York City and it seemed only natural to bring them back home.
By making this bold move, we ended up selling over a million ducks and creating a whole new company that does a line of celebrity rubber ducks that have since been voted one of the top 100 gifts by Entertainment Weekly. We’ve also been featured on hundreds of TV shows, magazines, and newspapers including The Tonight Show.
We’re lucky duckies, because the benefits don’t stop there; we now have companies from Harley-Davidson to The Future Farmers of America requesting made in America rubber ducks of their own. Without a doubt this was the most stressful and financially difficult venture I have ever endeavored. That being said, sometimes you just have to do what you believe in and look at the bigger picture.
We chose to embrace change and never looked back. As it says on the hangtag on our new 100% made in America Pork Chopper biker duck…. “live free, float free!”
Talk about a game changing moment! Craig moved his company’s manufacturing across the world for his Game Changing Moment.
