It’s been a great three days at CompCloud 2016! We hope the sessions, keynotes, and breakouts gave each of you the knowledge, tools, and inspiration to change your mindset when it comes to creating more effective, strategic sales compensation initiatives. This was one of our best events, to date, and it wouldn't have been possible without our sponsors, customers, prospects, and employees. So for that, we say thank you! As our CEO, Chris Cabrera noted, we consider CompCloud a seminal event not only for Xactly, but also for the entire compensation community. As such, we take a lot of time and care in putting on an event packed with invaluable, actionable material and tips that you can put into practice at your organizations right away. But maybe even more important are the great relationships you form and the information you learn from peers within the industry. Long and the short, the thing that makes CompCloud truly special is not a thing at all … it’s the people – our partners, customers, speakers, staff, etc. So, thank you for taking time out of your schedule to spend the last three days with us. We are looking forward to seeing you back next year. So let’s do a quick recap: Yesterday was packed with great speakers across the spectrum, discussing not only how to transform our thinking and mindset about compensation, as Cabrera discussed, but also how we can transform ourselves to become more mindful. Special guest, ABC News correspondent and author of the New York Times No. 1 Bestseller 10% Happier, Dan Harris shared his own personal struggles that led to a full panic attack live, on-air and how he overcame them. Harris reluctantly accepted the religion and spirituality news beat from his mentor, Peter Jennings, and began educating himself to meditation and ultimately began practicing himself in order to maintain focus, lower stress and simply be in a better mood. “Meditation is the next public revolution,” Harris told CompCloud attendees. We were also thrilled to welcome to the stage our own COO, Evan Ellis and a few special customers who are in the trenches using Xactly everyday to motivate their staff and drive results. Ely Lai, Senior Director of Sales Compensation at DocuSign, talked about her love for Xactly’s solutions mentioned that prior to accepting her position at DocuSign, she wanted to make sure that the company was using Xactly for its compensation processes. She had been using Xactly at other prior companies as well. Nandini Ramaswamy from Salesforce provided a demo how Xactly is running within their next-generation WAVE architecture and discussed the long-relationship ahead for the two companies, noting that Xactly will continue to be a “partner in rethinking our architecture.” Lastly, the night closed off with our annual #xactlylovesme customer appreciation party this year at Lucky Strike. All proceeds raised at the party went towards an organization that is near and dear to our hearts, Best Buddies. The non-profit fosters a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We are very lucky ourselves to have a Best Buddies team member working along side us at Xactly everyday. And of course, the event was topped off with some mean cocktails inspired by our partners – what was your favorite…the OSOOO Good, Canidium Tropicomp or the Passion Mojitozs? Lastly, we closed out the event with an exciting glimpse into our roadmap for the coming year. Have feedback on what you heard? Be sure to hit us up with your thoughts on FOX. Phew … that was a lot! See you next year!
