Jordan Scott is the Content Marketing Manager at Xactly. She attended The University of California at Santa Cruz, and received degrees in Literature and Education.

Recently, Xactly became an official corporate sponsor of the San Jose Sharks; it was an exciting announcement for all of us, as our company has been rooting for this local team since our founding in 2005. On game days you’ll see more employees than not rocking their jerseys, and many of them attend the games together.  Here at Xactly, there has long been a passion for corporate social responsibility, and this partnership with a team that supports the community is a perfect fit.

Over nine years ago, when we were founded, Xactly CEO Christopher Cabrera established the philanthropic branch of the company, XactlyOne so that employees would have the chance to make a difference in the communities where we live and work.

The Sharks also recognize the value in helping the community, and for that reason, we are extremely proud of the work we do through the Sharks Foundation as well as our own philanthropic group. To positively impact the community, The Sharks Foundation participates in helpful programs that elevate the lives of families and local youths. In addition, they provide many fundraising activities, the proceeds of which go back to the community. During the 2013-14 season, the Sharks Foundation donated over $1 million to support organizations helping those in need. As role models, the Sharks Foundation is committed to being a good neighbor, and giving back to the community that so strongly supports both them and us.

We’re excited to announce XactlyOne’s participation with the San Jose Sharks as they take part in a league wide initiative, called the Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness month, from October 20 through November 17. On Sharks Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness day, fans entered the arena and were given blank “Hockey Fights Cancer Support Cards” on which they wrote the name of a person they support in their battle against cancer. During the game, the announcer asked all 17,000 fans to hold up their cards and observe a moment of silence, which was an extremely memorable and touching sight to behold. Xactly was proud to volunteer with the Shark’s foundation and to raise awareness for a cause near and dear to our hearts.

We look forward to a great season for the Sharks, and a great holiday season of giving back in our community. Go Sharks, and go volunteer!
