Community advocacy is integral to Xactly’s corporate values and culture. So when the company recently signed its 500th customer, Specialized, it quickly teamed with the leading bike manufacturer to celebrate by giving back to the local community. In partnership with Specialized, which is providing new bicycles at cost, Xactly will be funding the donation of the bikes to children in need in the San Jose, Calif. area this holiday season.

“Signing our 500th customer was clearly a momentous and special event in Xactly’s history, so it was only fitting that the customer was Specialized,” said Christopher Cabrera, president and CEO, Xactly Corporation. “Specialized’s focus on continuous innovation and extreme performance, both as a company and in their award-winning products, is definitely in line with Xactly’s core values as a company. We are proud to call them a customer and to be working closely with them to celebrate our partnership by giving back to the community.”

“Like Xactly, our advocacy efforts are foundational to who we are as an organization,” said Simon Dunne, global advocacy manager, Specialized. “As a local organization ourselves, we are proud to be working with Xactly to give back to the community and enable a group of special children to experience the unique joy that comes from riding and owning a bike.”

Xactly and Specialized: Sharing Success with the Community

In conjunction with Specialized’s First Gear advocacy program and Xactly’s XactlyOne Foundation, the companies will be donating seven Specialized children’s bicycles to the Alma Youth Center, a Community United San José program that serves at-risk youth in the San Jose area. Bikes, which will be presented to the winners of an essay-contest as part of the center’s “The Good Choices Program,” will be delivered during a special Giving Tree event at the center on December 22.

“Innovative tech leader Xactly continues grow rapidly – further solidifying themselves as a great Downtown employer in San Jose. But just as importantly, they continue to be a generous supporter of our community through a number of advocacy efforts, such as the bike giveaway with Specialized,” said Sam Liccardo, councilmember, City of San Jose. “When one out of every three of our Latino youth face a life of diabetes and obesity, sharing a gift of bicycles with kids in the Washington and Alma communities, not only puts smiles on children’s faces, but provides a means to a healthy and active lifestyle.”

Sam Liccardo and Colin Heyne, deputy director of the Silicon Valley Bike Coalition, will be present at the Giving Tree event.

The XactlyOne Foundation, an integral part of Xactly’s corporate culture and values, was created to give back to the communities in which Xactly’s employees and customers work and live. Organizations supported include the American Cancer Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish Foundation, March of Dimes, Second Harvest Food Bank, Special Olympics and Toys for Tots; amongst others. In addition, Xactly makes its leading SaaS-based compensation management solutions available for free to eligible non-profit organizations.

Specialized will be rolling out Xactly’s flagship compensation management platform, Xactly Incent, across its sales team in the coming months. With Incent, Specialized will be able to drive better sales performance by giving its inside sales reps and managers more visibility into their commissions, down to the detail line of every order.
