Raise The Roofs

Xactly’s first volunteer day was in 2005, and those who participated enjoyed the experience so much that they created the XactlyOne committee, the branch of the company devoted to philanthropy. Those who gave a hand in building houses loved getting to know their colleagues in a different light, getting involved in their community, and seeing their hard work make a difference for those less fortunate.

Gardening for Ridgeline Trust

Xactly EMEA did some gardening at Ridgeline Trust – a small charity in Reading, UK, which helps people with mental and physical disabilities regain lost skills in the context of a therapeutic wildlife garden. Employees agreed it was “a great opportunity to give something back to the community and spend time with people outside of the usual work environment. It’s a lot of fun too!” Ridgeline Trust believes that for people with mental and/or physical disabilities, learning difficulties and other special needs, time spent in the natural environment, with the support of volunteers from the local community, can help towards rebuilding their lives.

Old Fashioned Bake Sale

We like a good cupcake as much as the next person, and we like it even better when the profits benefit charities that are meaningful to us. One of our staff members is a recent veteran, which led us to donate the proceeds from our End of Summer Bake Sale and BBQ to That Others May Live Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization established in 2002. That provides critical support, scholarships, and immediate tragedy assistance for the families of United States Air Force Rescue Heroes who are killed or severely wounded in operational or training missions.

We sorted a whole lot of food (19, 000 pounds to be exact) at our local Second Harvest Food Bank. Here at Xactly we’re passionate about wellness, and a large factor to being well is having access to healthy fresh food. We think everyone deserves to have enough nourishing food to eat, which is why we donated our time at Second Harvest. Since its inception in 1974, Second Harvest has become one of the largest food banks in the nation, providing food to an average of nearly one quarter of a million people each month. The Food Bank mobilizes individuals, companies, and community partners to connect people to the nutritious food they need. Nearly half of the food distributed is fresh produce.

Currently, one in four Bay Area children are living below the poverty line. Dealing with that reality during the holiday season, a time typically reserved for joy, is especially disheartening for children. Through our Holiday Wish Drive Xactlians helped give children in our community that special moment of excitement and joy as they opened their wished for gifts! The Family Giving Tree, “Envisions a world where every child is made to feel like a valuable part of their community through a shared belief in the power of giving. Charity Poker Tournament

Xactly’s third annual charity poker tournament was a huge success. Not only did we have a blast playing the game, watching basketball, and showing a few beginners the ropes, but our tournament’s champion, Steve Eddy, donated his winnings to the Autism Society of America, the nation’s leading grassroots autism organization which exists to improve the lives of all affected by autism. In Denver, Andy Drogo & Corey Robbins cashed in their chips and donated their winnings to Ace Scholarships, a Colorado non-profit focused on low-income scholarships and school choice programs.
