Xactly was founded 16 years ago on our 4 C.A.R.E. values. Get to know Xactly's core culture in this post about one of our C.A.R.E. values—"E" for Excellence.

Xactly’s offices across the globe are participating in the company’s inaugural C.A.R.E. Week. From San Jose and Denver to Canada, Europe and India, every team member will be participating in both internal and community service events that celebrate our culture and commitment to each other and the areas in which we work and live. Xactly founder and CEO, Christopher Cabrera is kicking off each day talking about how C.A.R.E. was established as Xactly’s core values and what each letter means to the company.

As we wind towards the end of C.A.R.E. week, I have been astonished to see the amazing camaraderie, spirit, and, commitment shown through every Xactly office. Activities ranged from a (not quite) 5K-charity fun run benefitting Craig Hospital in Denver, to planting trees and helping package food at the Second Harvest Food Bank in San Jose.As I mentioned in an earlier post, I've always thought of “CARE” itself as the fifth value, and it's inspired our philanthropic work in our communities from day one.

In addition to being part of the Salesforce 1:1:1 initiative, before this week we have given more than $160k and 4,000 hours to organizations in need. I am looking forward to seeing how those numbers grew after the amazing effort of all of our staff during C.A.R.E. Week. It was truly one of the most prevalent displays of our last value, “Excellence” that I have seen since the company was founded in 2005.

Famed football coach and player, Vince Lombardi was once quoted as saying, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.”

Any company can say they have a great culture, great products, great people… but the proof is always in the performance. Xactly has maintained a five-year average revenue retention rate of 100+ percent; has won 17 best place to work awards; has given countless hours to charitable endeavors; and, maintains the highest customer ratings on Salesforce AppExchange and G2Crowd.

These points are not about bragging. They are metrics of performance by which we are always measuring ourselves. Most importantly, they are the markers by which we determine what needs to change to continue to make our products, our service, and our culture the very best it can be.

This is how we strive to catch excellence. By fostering a culture that breeds an unwavering focus on employees and customers, accountability, respect for people of all kinds. Only then can we stand behind our values that Xactly truly C.A.R.E.s. And only then can true excellence be achieved.

Thank you for indulging me in this series of posts. I hope they have given you a better glimpse into the values behind the company and what we stand for. As I noted prior, we are always listening and learning. I would love to hear your stories of how you have seen Xactly live out these values or things we could be doing better to show you how much we CARE.
