Today, Xactly is fourteen years old. A teenager in human terms, but a veteran company in Silicon Valley years. When I first founded the organization in March of 2005 with Satish Palvai, our office was my dining room, we were building a single product, and we were specifically focused on ICM. In the subsequent years that followed, we built out the company’s presence in San Jose, Denver, Bangalore, and London. We took the company public on the NYSE in June of 2015, and in the summer of 2017 we were acquired by Vista Equity Partners.
While every year at Xactly has been momentous, and full of change and exciting developments, this period has been one of the most memorable. The company completed three acquisitions, including AlignStar, Obero, and OpsPanda. These additions, combined with our organic development, enabled us to realize our full Sales Performance Management vision.
As part of this vision were able to the use the power of big data to launch an AI algorithm to predict sales attrition. Now, for the first time ever, sales leaders can evaluate which of their reps is at risk of leaving. This information is based on a powerful machine learning model rather than intuition or the rumor mill.
Xactly continues to be the dominant global player in SPM. To this end, we have significantly expanded our footprint with new offices in Denver, UK, Canada, Romania, Australia, and India to accommodate the more than 50 percent increase in headcount. Regardless of location we have preserved our culture and adherence to our core values of C.A.R.E.—customer focus, accountability, respect, and excellence. Throughout the world, Xactly employees are giving back to their local communities with their time and donations through our XactlyOne foundation.
We’re incredibly proud to continue to be recognized as a vibrant workplace. Xactly received three additional workplace awards this past year, including a Top Workplace by the Denver Post. Xactly has also won the Top Workplaces by the Bay Area News Group six times, and has been named a Great Place to Work numerous times by Fortune, Medium, and other notable publications.
This has already been the journey of a lifetime and there’s still so much more to accomplish.
